recently had the pleasure of attending a Pesach programme in Tokyo, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully curated to provide a meaningful, luxurious, and enriching experience in one of the most fascinating cities in the world. The culinary offerings were absolutely outstanding. Every meal was fully kosher for Pesach and surpassed expectations—not just in terms of kashrut, but flavor, variety, and presentation. From elegant plated dinners to abundant buffet lunches and creative snacks, the chefs masterfully blended traditional Pesach fare with Japanese-inspired cuisine. The seder meals were meticulously prepared, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying both spiritually and gastronomically. Daily trips were organized to explore Tokyo and its surrounding areas. Whether it was visiting Mount Fuji, team lab Planets, the buzzing energy of Shibuya Crossing or serene cherry blossom-lined parks, each outing offered a perfect mix of cultural insight and fun. The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating, and the feeling of camaraderie on the bus made sure that the day was more than just sight seeing. Evenings were filled with thoughtfully planned events that catered to all ages. There were engaging shiurim, concerts and activities for kids and teens. Yom Tov services were inspiring, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The davening was beautifully led, and the communal spirit was palpable throughout. This Pesach programme in Tokyo managed to combine halachic integrity, five-star hospitality, and the thrill of international travel. It offered a rare opportunity to observe the chag in a place steeped in culture and contrast, all while being fully immersed in a supportive Jewish environment. Not only was everything above and beyond the classic standards of kashrut, but the food was delicious. Any concerns were immediately addressed—and always with a smile! As they say, leadership starts at the top. Gil, his family, and his team were all stars from start to finish. The hotel staff followed suit. As Mel mentioned, the entertainment was spot on—very well planned, captivating and fun for all ages. Before I booked, I asked my cousin to research the program and the Chabad there. We got good reviews and decided to go for it. Boy, were our expectations shattered in the best way possible! Japan is just an incredible place from the culture to the architecture and nature. We saw different mesmerizing areas in Tokyo, Boat tours, beautiful Japanese Gardens, and even Mt. Fuji just to name a few activities. The best part of it all was the sense of community. People of all ages and backgrounds came together with one goal in common: to make Pesach in the most beautiful way we could. Mission accomplished! Enjoy!

Without a doubt this was the most well put together program in an exotic location that one could imagine. My wife, Shirit and I were lucky to be participants in this spectacular event, with extremely unique food beyond belief with Michelin type cuisine made by a group of chefs extraordinaire. The program was extremely well run by Gil Hami and his family, masterfully handled by Moshe Brown and master of ceremonies Chaim Kiss. But last but not least was the company. People from France, Israel, South Africa, Australia and from all over North America including Toronto, Houston, Los Angeles, Bar Harbour, Miami, Teaneck, Ft. Lee and the whole New York metropolitan area were chilled, laid back and super friendly. By the end of the trip it felt more las if we were family rather than mere acquaintances. I would highly recommend Gil Travel Group for any other trip and if you get the chance to go with Gil to Japan for Pesach, run as quickly as you can to make that reservation. Gil Travel Group rocks!
